Dancing the night away at the 80’s Disco!

Led by Lucy Gabbitas, Prestige Dental’s ongoing support for Marie Curie and in particular the local Bradford hospice, is becoming well known. The Annual Summer Garden Tea Party is always a sell out event and has continually run successfully for well over 12 years. COVID did put paid to some events but as we came out of the pandemic and with a desire to get back to fund raising, the team got their thinking caps on and came up with the idea of hosting an 80’s Disco.

In contrast to previous events this was to be held in the winter months, indoors but with safe distancing, and having found a great venue, planning went ahead and we soon had another sell out date! Fancy dress was a must as was getting lively on the dance floor – those 80’s classics soon had everyone up on their feet to a great live band. Big raffle prizes, a Pie & Pea supper, professional cocktail maker as well as the hotly contested Best Fancy Dress competition all contributed to a spectacular evening that raised just under £2k for the charity.

We were proud that the event was chosen to be featured in this Autumns Marie Curie magazine, along with the accolade of being headlines as ‘star supporters’ to Marie Curie. Here’s to the next event!
